Brothers,
Our order is built upon
three core pillars: insurance, programs, and members. Each of
these pillars remains strong and it is through these pillars that we
are the visible right arm of the Catholic Church in our community
and across the world. Thank you! You are making a difference by
your actions supporting our faith, your family, our Priest, Parish
and community. As we head into this fall season there will be many
opportunities for you to be involved.
Protecting life is
foundational to our faith. This month many of you participated in Life
Chain in our community. If you were not able to attend, I offer there
are other ways to support this cause. At this month's quarterly
Virginia State K of C meeting, Brother Knight and Virginia Senator Ken
Cuccinelli thanked the Knights for their support in a narrow (20 to 19)
victory that has already produced overwhelming response to the new
"Choose-Life" license plates. Brother Ken stated that this is the
first "Pro-Life" legislation passed in his 7 years in Virginia
office. With over 1,000 of the plates having already been purchased a
statement is being made. Additionally $15 of each $25 annual fee goes
directly to Heartbeat International, a Christian pregnancy resource
organization. I ask that you consider purchasing this new
plate, to send a clear message to our legislators. Plates can be
